Four year grant awarded to a PhD student at University of East Anglia 

Natalie is a PhD student examining ‘vesselism’ and the Abstract Vessel in twentieth-century British ceramics at the University of East Anglia (Norwich, UK).

Natalie Baerselman le Gros is a freelance curator, writer and editor concerned with the breadth of contemporary ceramic practice. She has written for Ceramic Review, Ceramics Monthly, Ceramics Now and Ceramics: Art + Perception as well as for various galleries and publications.

She has curated two seasons of ceramic exhibitions and symposia at Messums ORG (Wiltshire & London, UK) and for four years was a curator and touring exhibitions manager at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts in Norwich and prior to that was touring and loans manager at the Crafts Council, London.

Natalie edited a new monograph on the seminal ceramicist Gordon Baldwin, published in February 2025.
