Peter founded State Ceramics in 2024 to help address the deficit in scholarship, art historical and critical writing in the field of studio ceramics taken in its broadest sense. A qualified lawyer, Peter worked in merchant banking for over 20 years before leaving to pursue other interests including financial literacy, travel, Buddhism and the arts. 

Now a full time potter, Jill had a long and successful career in publishing, latterly nine years in the leadership team at Booktrust a UK children’s reading charity founded in 1921. 

Emily is a contemporary art specialist and curator with significant experience of working with leading institutions and galleries such as the Royal Academy, Pace, White Cube and The New Art Centre.
